MARIETTA, OHIO — Washington State College of Ohio (WSCO) hosted its second annual Benefit Concert in collaboration with The Adelphia Music Hall and local musical sensation, The Troubadours. The event was a resounding success, raising $10,000 for the WSCO Foundation Annual Scholarship Fund through ticket sales, raffles, and generous sponsorships.

“We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support at our concert fundraiser. Every ticket sold and every note played brought us closer to opening doors for students through scholarships. The energy and generosity of our community remind us why the Annual Scholarship Fund is so impactful—it changes lives and empowers futures,” said WSCO Foundation Director Megan Marion.

Over 100 tickets were sold, with attendees including WSCO Foundation Board members, WSCO faculty and staff, event sponsors, and community members.

The event was sponsored by:

  • VIP Title Sponsor: Hall Financial Advisors
  • Gold Tier Sponsor: Dr. Carole Hancock
  • Silver Sponsors: Camden Clark Medical Center, Mallett Rentals, Settlers Bank, Stefanie and Rob Nelson, People’s Bank, Eramet Marietta, Randy and Nancy Barengo, and Frye Dental Group
  • Bronze Tier Sponsors: Morrison Inc. and Marietta Community Foundation
  • Venue Sponsor: The Adelphia Music Hall
  • Bartender Sponsor: 339 Auto Sales
  • Raffle Sponsors: Stoked Coffee and the WSCO Board of Directors

“The funds that were raised for The Annual Scholarship Fund will be used to provide tuition support to Washington State College of Ohio students who might otherwise struggle to afford their education,” shared Marion. “This support is especially important for first-generation college students, working parents, and others balancing education with life’s challenges. Sometimes a scholarship can stand in the way of whether a student attends college or not,” says Marion.

Thanks to the remarkable generosity of sponsors, attendees, and The Troubadours, the Benefit Concert was not only a celebration of music but also a powerful demonstration of what can be accomplished when a community comes together with a shared purpose. The WSCO Foundation looks forward to building on this momentum and continuing to create opportunities for students to succeed.
