MARIETTA, OHIO — Washington State College of Ohio (WSCO) conferred associate and bachelor nursing degrees to 27 graduates during its commencement ceremony on December 6, 2024. This commencement was a historic moment for WSCO as this was the first graduating class from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.

“The graduation of our inaugural BSN cohort is a proud moment for Washington State College of Ohio. It reflects the strength of our nursing program and the incredible dedication of the students who have worked diligently to reach this achievement,” says Dr. Heather Kincaid, Dean of Health & Sciences. “These graduates are ready to make an impact in the world of healthcare, and we are excited to see the contributions they will make. This moment is not just a celebration of their success, but a celebration of what’s to come for nursing at WSCO.”

Graduates from the BSN program include: Andrea Adams, Tori Aronhalt, Caitlin Dyar, Bethany Green, Madison Heiss, Josie Knight, Amy LaBarre, Breanna Lowe, Ashley Nedeff, Jamie Shutts, Lorena Southall, and Tobey Witschey.

Graduates from the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program include: Elizabeth Baldwin, Steven Barnhart, Sarah Barros, Anthony Bello, Megan Boso, Amy Brookhart, Halie Dille, Alexandra Haessly, Emily Higginbotham, Melissa Lemmings, Nicole Lessinger-Bely, Alexa Shust, Makayla Sirk, Nathanael Taylor, and Regan Wright.

The class of 2024 included 16 students graduating with honors and 6 Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society members. In total, WSCO awarded 12 bachelor degrees and 15 associate degrees.
