Helping Students Discover What’s Possible
Figuring out what comes after high school can feel like a lot. College Access at Washington State College of Ohio helps students explore their options, build confidence, and take the next steps toward their future—with support along the way.
Through Educational Talent Search and Upward Bound, students gain access to opportunities, experiences, and one-on-one support designed to help them succeed in school and prepare for life after graduation. From visiting college campuses and exploring careers to getting help with applications, financial aid, and scholarships, our programs help students turn “maybe someday” into a plan they can actually see themselves achieving.
And we make it fun. Students have opportunities to participate in college visits, career exploration, hands-on activities, cultural experiences, educational trips, workshops, mentoring, and more—all while building skills and connections that can help them long after high school.

Educational Talent Search and Upward Bound are federal TRIO programs funded 100% by the U.S. Department of Education. TRIO programs are designed to expand educational opportunities for students who meet federal eligibility guidelines, including students from income-eligible households and students who may be the first in their families to earn a four-year college degree.
Our goal is simple: help students recognize their potential, understand their options, and have the support they need to pursue what comes next.
