MARIETTA, OH —Washington State College of Ohio (WSCO) awarded 44 area high school graduates with institutional scholarships to attend the college this fall. Recipients represent 15 high schools from both Ohio and West Virginia.
“It’s always a privilege to see students realize there’s a reward for their hard work,” said WSCO’s Director of Enrollment Services and Financial Aid Reba Bartrug. “The scholarships they’ve earned will help them get the education they need for their career pursuits. Washington State is excited to be a part of their preparation for the future.”
In total, the merit-based scholarships awarded are valued at $149,000 over two years. Washington State will welcome the scholarship winners to campus when classes begin on August 14. Currently, the college is registering students for the fall semester.
