Student Loan Exit Counseling Workshop
Graduating or Transferring? Join us at one of the following Federal Student Loan Exit Counseling Workshops between 9am and 3pm.
What to Bring:
- Your FSA ID (username & password for FAFSA)
- Driver’s License or State ID
- Student’s current contact information.
- Name and contact info for 2 references
- Next of Kin’s name and contact info
- An estimate of your current income and living expenses
Exit counseling is a requirement for students who borrow Federal Direct Student Loans while in college and are graduating, leaving school, or are enrolled at less than half time status.
Exit Counseling can be completed online HERE or in-person with the Office for Financial Aid. Our face-to-face Student Loan Exit Counseling is a more personalized option for federal student loan borrowers who may want to ask questions about their specific loans.
Your 30-minute appointment will cover everything you need to know for making decisions about your student loans like:
- Understanding and Selecting Payment Plans
- Where and how to Make Payments
- What to do in the Event of Financial Hardship
- Who your Loan Servicer is
- What your Rights and Responsibilities are
- Where to Find Helpful Resources
- When Payments Start
- Loan Forgiveness Plans
